Oppo is reportedly working on a new smartphone under its A series, named Oppo A80. It is expected to be the Oppo A3 Vitality Edition or Energy Edition, already available in China. The company plans to launch this smartphone globally as the Oppo A80. Therefore, the Oppo A80 5G will be a mid-range 5G phone powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. Possible Price of Oppo A80 5G in the Global Market
Thanks to tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, the European price of the Oppo A80 5G has been revealed. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant of this smartphone will be priced at around 249 Euros (approximately INR 22,800). It is still unclear whether this smartphone will launch in India and other markets, and there could be more variants available.
Design and Color Options of Oppo A80 5G
The Oppo A80 5G handset will feature a punch-hole display with flat edges. It will have a dual-camera setup at the back with an LED ring just below the sensor. The design of the Oppo A80 5G will resemble the Oppo A3 Vitality Edition. The smartphone will be available in Black and Purple, similar to the versions already available in China. Additionally, it will be offered in a Green color option.
Specifications of Oppo A80 5G
The Oppo A80 5G will sport a 6.67-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits peak brightness. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. For photography, the device will feature a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP portrait lens. An 8MP front camera will be available for selfies.
For power backup, the smartphone will house a 5,100mAh battery with 45W SuperVOOC fast charging support. It will run on Android 14-based ColorOS 14.0.1 custom skin. The Oppo A80 5G will come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, NFC, Wi-Fi 5, and a 300% ultra-volume mode.
Additionally, the Oppo A80 5G will include multiple AI features such as AI Eraser, AI LinkBoost, and AI Charging Protection. Based on these specifications, it is speculated that the Oppo A80 5G is indeed a rebranded version of the Oppo A3 Vitality Edition.
