Oppo has officially launched its latest additions to the popular Reno series in India: the Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro smartphones. Both phones are 5G-enabled and come with advanced AI capabilities and sleek designs. Pricing and Availability in India
The Oppo Reno 12 5G is priced at ₹32,999 for the sole 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. It will be available in Sunset Peach, Matte Brown, and Astro Silver color options starting July 25 via Oppo’s website, Flipkart, and other retail stores.
On the other hand, the Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G is priced at ₹36,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, and ₹40,999 for the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant. It will be available from July 18 via Oppo’s website, Flipkart, and other retail stores, in Space Brown and Sunset Gold color options.
Specifications of Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro
Both phones feature a 6.7-inch OLED FullHD+ curved Infinite View display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1200 nits peak brightness, HDR10+ support, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The Reno 12 uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, while the Pro model has Gorilla Glass 7i.
In terms of durability, both phones have all-round armor protection against drops and damages, made from high-strength alloy frames of copper, magnesium, and silicon, meeting aerospace-grade standards. They are also rated IP65 for dust and water resistance.
The phones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor built on a 4nm process, coupled with Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. They run on Android 14-based ColorOS 14 custom skin. Oppo promises three years of OS updates and four years of security updates for both devices.
The camera setup for the Reno 12 Pro includes a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 50MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom and up to 20x digital zoom. The Reno 12 has a similar setup but replaces the telephoto camera with a 2MP macro camera for close-up shots. The front camera on the standard model is a 32MP lens, while the Pro model has a 50MP sensor.
Oppo has included various AI-driven camera features in these phones. AI Eraser 2.0 removes unwanted objects from photos, AI Clear Face enhances group shots, AI Best Face corrects closed eyes in photos, AI Smart Image Matting 2.0 allows for creative photo editing, and AI Studio adds backgrounds and creates unique group shots.
For power backup, both models come with a 5000mAh battery supporting 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. Additional features include dual speakers, an IR blaster, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
